Earlier this year, we announced Text Sets – a way to curate articles on themes that matter to you and your students. You can also explore Text Sets aligned to the Big History Project, or pair nonfiction texts to fiction with Text Sets for Literature. Now, just in time for back-to-school, we’re excited to announce Text Sets for all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
We can suggest a few ways to put these to work – use them to highlight local and state issues for the upcoming election, or complement lessons on local history. But we’re most interested in how you plan to use Text Sets. How do Text Sets help you in your classrooms? What other themed Text Sets would you like to see next? Tweet us @Newsela and let us know.
